Background
BOWATER, T. Vansittart was born on October 20, 1862 in Manchester. Son of late William Vansittart Bo water of Bury Hall, Lower Edmonton, N. Relation of Edward Bowater, Admiral of White Fleet, 1829, who fought in Battle of Trafalgar, and of General Sir Edward Bowater, who fought and was wounded at Battle of Waterloo, who was Equerry to Prince Albert, and was born in Saint James’s Palace.
