He graduated from Michigan University in 1935.
Tadahisa Matsudaira served first with Japanese Embassy in Washington and then as administrative official of foreign affairs at East Asia Bureau, consul in Canton, secretary at Japanese Embassy in China, chief of Press Section at Japanese Embassy in Shanghai, liaison officer and then chief of Special Property Section of Postwar Liaison Office and chief of the Pirst Section of Special Property Section oi Foreign Ministry successively.
He became the director of Fuyo Trading Company and vice-president of Fuyo Paper Manufacturing Company in 1949 and Governor of Nagano Prefecture in 1951.
He was elected to House of Representatives on the Right-Wing Socialist ticket in 1953.
