Career
Elected 8 times as mayor of Shikishin-mura, Hiba-gun, Hiroshima Prefecture (1930-43) and twice to Hiroshima Prefectural Assembly (1930-36) and three times to House of Representatives (1936-46). Became Parliamentary Councilor of Welfare (1939). Re-elected to House of Representatives for the fourth I time (1952). Mayor of Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture (since 1954) and chairman of Hiroshima Prefectural National Health Insurance Federation. Serves also as president of Hiroshima Prefectural Federation of Forestry Owners’ Associations,, vice-chairman and acting chairman of Central Committee of All-Japan National Health Insurance Associations and director of Japan Small and Medium Enterprisesi' Federation.
