Tadashird Inoue was born in Kumamoto Prefecture, was adopted almost at birth by Viscount Takeshi Inoue, the famous law-maker of the Meiji Era.
After graduating from Tokyo University with a degree in engineering (1899) was sent to America and Germany for further studies (1901).
Returning home Tadashird Inoue was appointed professor at Osaka Higher Technological School and then joined his alma mater as professor. Entering the business world became in turn president of Anshan Iron-works, and Fushu Colliery in Manchuria. In between, as a politician was elected to House of Councillors several times since 1910. Tadashird Inoue was minister of Railways for first Wakatsuki Cabinet (1926). He was President of Academy of Technique and played an important part in technical and industrial administration (1942). Later was parliamentary vice-minister of Imperial Navy. Was Japan’s delegate to the 11th U.T. General Meeting at Geneva. Is president of Nihon Kotsu Kyokai (Japan Travel Association).
