He graduated from Waseda University in 1926 and entered the Asahi as political reporter.
Career
Advisor of the Asahi Shimbun. Served as chief of the Political and Economic Department, and of the Information Department, becoming vice-director of the Editorial Bureau. Appointed director (1946). Appointed chairman of the Board of Directors (1948) and president (1949).
