Tadayasu Nakayama

Background

Tadayasu Nakayama was born in 1809. He was the second son of Tadayori.

Career

Following the wish of his great grandfather, Naruchika, he worked hard fo r the restoration of the Imperial regime. Around the Meiji Restoration (1868), he participated in all important Court decisions. Was appointed Master of Shinto Rituals (1869). Upon the birth of Crown Prince Yoshihito (Emperor Taisho) (1879), he was appointed guardian of the prince and brought him up in his residence.
