Specialized in the history of Oriental line arts. Was appointed a technical expert of the Educa¬tion Ministry (1918) and became a member of the Imperial Museum’s Cultural Committee and the Imperial Household Treasures Preservation Committee. An authority on the history of Oriental fine arts.
