Career
Taganojo Onoe is a clever impersonator of women on the Kabuki stage. Is also an expert engraver of seals and many of his works have been exhibited at art exhibitions of the Ministry of Education.
He made his stage debut in 1891. Changing his name to Kigan he joined the Meijiza Theatre (1911). Came into prominence in his role as the wif e of Kikugoro VI (1917) and then succeeded to the title of Taganojo Onoe II 1(1927).
