Tai Sekiguchi served in the Government General of Formosa (1914-1919). He then joined the staff of the Osaka Asahi Shimbun (newspaper).
After a tour in the United States and Europe (1921-1922), he transferred to the Tokyo Asahi Shimbun (1923) and wrote editorials on education. Was appointed president of the Yokohama Municipal University (1950). After resigning from the above post he devoted himself to writing for newspapers. Among his books are "The People's Constitution."
