Served first with Fuji Boseki Kaisha (Fuji Spinning Company) and then as director of Hochi Shimbun, chief of its Business Department, director of Tokyo Central Employment Office, chief of its Shoku,gyoka (Employment Section) and director and then chief of Welfare Department of Nihon Yushi Kaisha (Japan Oil & Fat Manufacturing Company). Later joined Nissan Heavy Industries Company (1934) and became its director, chief of Labor Department and then president (1947) and thereafter assumed his present post. Holds additional posts of chairman of Kanagawa Prefectural Employers’ Association, permanent director of Nikkeiren (Federation of Japan Employers’ Associations), member of Kanagawa Labor Relations Commission, counselor of Jidosha Kogyokai (Motorcar Industry Association) and chairman of Rodo Hoki Iinkai (Labor Laws Committee).
