Taiji Ohashi entered Teikoku Gyoyu Seisei (Fish Oil Refining) Company. He established Nihon Glycerin Industry Company and became director of its Research Department (1916). Held executive posts with Nitto Soap Manufacturing Company, Godo Oil and Fat Manufacturing Company and Nissan Chemical Industry Company, becoming president of Nikka Shokusan (Production) Company and Amagasaki Yugyo (Oil Industry) Company (1942), Nihon Soap Manufacturing Company (1951) and Sasameyuki Brewing Company (1952).
Assumed additional post of chairman of All-Japan Shochu (Distilled Sake) Producers' Association (1953). Serves also as director of Tokyo Shikisai (Coloring) Company, trustee of Japan Oil & Fat Industry Association, supervisor of Japan Oil and Fat Chemistry Association and representative director of Nikka Shokusan (Production) Company.
