He graduated from Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts in 1925.
Career
His work displayed at the loth Teiten Exhibition (1933) won special recognition. Since then, has displayed his works at Bunten and Nitten exhibitions and serves on the Examining Board (since 1942). He established the Kojinsha together with Yoshin Yamawaki and others and aims at creative study in metal carving.
