Education
In 1932 he graduated from Akita Middle School and worked at a factory at Wakan-machi, Hokkaidd.
Career
Then in 1937 he joined the Mitsubishi Yubari Mines. In 1945 Abe was appointed vice-chairman of the labor union of the Mines. In 1948 - appointed chairman and in 1953 - chairman of the All-Japan Coal Miners' Union.
