Takeo Kitahara graduated from Japanese Literature Department of Keio University.
Career
While employed at Miyako Shimbun made debut in literary world by writing the novel, "Wife" (1938) published in "Sakura," literary coterie magazine with which Takeo Kitahara was affiliated and thereafter kept depicting world of love in modern narrative style. During the war went to Java as member of press corps. After the war has been writing on decadent manners of society. Publisher of Style magazine.
