Graduated from Tokyo Jikei Medical College (1908).
Career
Was appointed professor of his alma mater (1921);following year received degree (1922); appointed president and chairman of board of trustees of same college (1947); following retirement became emeritus professor (1952). Conducted extensive researches on Vitamin C including biochemical studies in experimental scurvy and Vitamin C. Works include “Medical Chemistry.”
