Hanai Takuzo went to Tokyo in youth and studied at the English Law School, the predecessor of Chuo University and the Tokyo Law School, LL.D. Entered the bar and became well-known for his eloquence and able handling of criminal cases.
Career
He entered the bar and became well-known for his eloquence and able handling of criminal cases. He was professor at Chuo University and president of the Tokyo Bar Association. He was elected a member of the House of Representatives several times, he was made Speaker. He was nominated a member of the House of Peers in 1921. He and Yoshimichi Hara were two outstanding lawyer-politicians of his time.
