Education

Studied music from childhood. Came to Scranton, Pennsylvania, with the family in 1877. Honorary Doctor of Music.

Career

Manager and conductor of summer music festivals at Ocean Grove for 17 years, directing choruses of 1,200 voices and orchestra of 100. Director volunteer church choir (200) at the Central Methodist Church, Brooklyn. Director New York Festival Chorus.

Founder and president International Corresponding School of Music. Director Mount Vernon (New York) Choral Club of 1st Methodist Episcopal Church (200 voices). Founder National Association Organists, also Musicians Club of New New York Author of a standard course of music instruction for teachers and Public school supervisors.
