Tamara Kanstanzinauna Chaban was born in a peasant family. Her father, Kanstanzin Szyapanavich, and her mother, Alena Syamyonauna – are retired now. Since 1978 Tamara Kanstanzinauna lived in Minsk.

She was elected as а chairwoman of “Brotherhood” club, as a member of the editorial staff of the annual “Day Of Poetry” (1988, 1989). She was engaged in conservancy activity.
Tamara Kanstanzinauna began literary activity at the secondary school with poems. Her first publication was a review of a book “Shoots” by Volga Ipatava (“Literature and Art”, 1977). Her articles about present-day literary process were published in the Republic and Union editions and also in collections “Possessor of the Belarusian Song”, “Levels of Folk Influence” etc. Her works are characterized by broad vision, high level of professionalism, analytical profundity, rationality and emotionality.
