In 1931 Tamotsu Okagami became lecturer and then professor of Wakayama Higher Commercial School. Later became assistant professor (1939) and then professor of Economics Department (since 1944) and trustee (since 1953) of Kyushu University and Doctor of Economics.
Books include Kahei Honshitsu-no Sho-mondai (Various Problems Concerning the Essence of Currency) and Shinyo Kahei-no Kiso Riron (The Fundamental Theory of Credit Currency).
