Taneichiro Nakano

Background

Taneichiro Nakano was born in 1876 in Kyoto, Japan.

Education

He graduated from Buddhist College of Nishiyamaha Sect in 1951.

Career

Twice became mayor of Fushimi Town, Kyoto Prefecture (1913 and 1929). Elected to Kyoto Municipal Assembly (1931), Kyoto Prefectural Assembly (1931) and then to House of Rep-resentatives (1932).

As representative of Japanese House of Representatives attended International Assemblymen's Conference and International Assemblymen's Conference on Commerce.

Later served as president of Kyoto Prefectural Liquor Sales Company and Nihon Sakerui Hambai Kaisha (Japan Liquor Sales Company) (from 1941) and as official of a few other industrial companies and organizations. Became vice-president and then chairman of Kyoto Chamber of Commerce & Industry (1946). Appointed chairman of Kinki Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry (1947).

Became chairman of Kyoto Broadcasting Corporation, chairman of Kyoto Chamber of Commerce & Industry (since 1946) and president of Kyoto Shuzo Kyokai (Kyoto Sake Brewers’ Association). Holds additional posts of chairman of Kinki Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry (from 1947)，vice-chairman of Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, vice-chairman of Kansai Federation of Economic Organizations and as official of many other industrial organizations.
