Education
Taro Yamashita graduated from Sapporo Agricultural College (1912).
Career
Taro Yamashita entered business as an importer and exporter of rice, iron and woolens. Later worked for Nichiro Gyogyo (fishery corporation) (1932), and then in turn for Nihon Sanso (Oxygen) Company and Kanebo Spinning Company. Thereafter was an influential figure in Korean and Manchurian business circles. Late in life was director of Korean Chemical Industries and of Nissan Steamship companies.
