Born in Oita Prefecture

Career

Attended Keio University. Became chief of Local News Section of Hochi Shimbun and later served with Tokyo Maiyu Kokumin and Niroku Shimpo newspapers. Later was director of Domei News Agency, president of Keijo Nippo (Seoul Daily), director of Propa­ganda Department of Administrative Bureau of Kokumin Soryoku Chosen Rem- mei (Korea League for Mobilization of People) and chief editor of Tokyo Shimbun and thereafter assumed the above- captioned post. Was active as a political critic. Toured Europe and America.
