He was a three-year starter at left tackle. He was rated by Rivals.com as a four-star recruit and was ranked as the 23rd best offensive tackle in his class. He originally committed to the University of Notre Dame to play college football but changed to Ohio State University.
Decker also played basketball in high school.
Decker played in all 12 games as a true freshman in 2012. He played mostly special teams, but played 22 snaps on offense.
Decker took over as a starter his sophomore season in 2013, starting all 14 games at right tackle. Decker moved from right tackle to left tackle his junior year in 2014 and was the Buckeyes only returning starter on the offensive line.
