Walker, Ted was born on February 8, 1907 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, United States. Son of Daniel Marsellis Smith, Florence (Davis) Walker.

Operated Walker Construction Company, McKeesport, Pennsylvania, 1924-1927. Manager simplex sales and tire department 18th Street Garage, St. Louis, 1928-1931. Operated wholesale and retail automotive supply company, also service station, and Walker Coal Company, Walker Auto Company, 1931-1942.

Owner Walker Trailer Sales and Appliance Company, Tucson, since 1943. Principal Ted Walker Finance Company, 1944, Ted Walker Insurance Company, 1945. Chairman Sabbar Temple Crippled Children Committee, Altan Kol Grotto Crippled Children's Committee, Southern Arizona Shrine Hospital Republican, since 1946.

Founder, chairman board, president Square and Compass Crippled Children's Clinic. Co-founder Arizona Training Center for Handicapped, Child's Guidance Clinic (now Palo Verde Hospital), 1950. President Comstock Children's Hospital, 1951-1955.

Member State Welfare Board, 1950-1958. Life member Pima County Parks, and Recreation Committee. Vice president Tucson Trichala Affiliation.
