Career
He was elected to the Division III College Football Hall of Fame in 1999. He currently works at Saint Mary"s Hospital and Clinics in Cottonwood, Idaho as a family practice Doctor of Medicine. He is the head coach for Prairie High School"s varsity basketball team and is also the defensive coordinator for Prairie High"s football team Bruner has helped lead Prairie to a 2-2 record in the Idaho 1A State Championship Game.
In 2014-2015, Bruner alongside Head Coach Ryan Hasselstrom and assistant coaches Ron Sigler and Matt Elven lead the Prairie Pirates football team to 23 straight wins, tying a school record previously set in 2008-2009 (Both times losing in the State Championship game).
In 2015, Prairie would return to the State Championship and this time lose to Valley in a heartbreaking blowout.
