Tekisai Kawada was educated at Sho-hei-ko (Shogun's College) and was also a private pupil of Isaai Sato.
Career
Tekisai Kawada was commissioned to frame the Treaty of Ansei by the Shogun (1854) and was an advocate of opening the country to foreigners.
