Background
The daughter of Emperor Gomino-o and Empress Kazuko (Tofuku-mon-in). When her father abdicated due to a misunderstanding with the Shogunate she ascended the throne and reigned for 14 years before she abdicated in favor of her younger brother, who became Emperor Gokomyo.
