He graduated from Edgewood High School and attended University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating in 1987 with a degree in Economics.

He has founded two real estate companies, T. Wall Properties, Limited Liability Company, which specializes in office space development and property management, and T. Wall Enterprises, which focuses on developing multi-family apartment complexes. Wall was raised in Madison, Wisconsin, and delivered newspapers in his neighborhood as a child. He continued at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Business School and obtained a Masters Degree in Real Estate Appraisal and Investment in 1989.
= T. Wall Properties, Limited Liability Company After graduating from college, Wall purchased an apartment building from foreclosure and refurbished it, eventually selling it at a profit.

= DaneVest Technical Fund, Limited Liability Company In 2007, Wall founded the DaneVest Technical Fund to invest in Wisconsin-based technology start-ups.
The first angel fund in Wisconsin, DaneVest Technical Fund has invested in 10 companies and is guiding them toward an eventual exit. = T. Wall Enterprises, Limited Liability Company After a few years hiatus from the multi-family property business, Wall reentered the market in 2011 with the founding of Technology Wall Enterprises, Limited Liability Company. Today, T. Wall Enterprises owns hundreds of apartment units in the greater Madison area, and has several more in development.
Current development projects include Wingra Point, a luxury apartment complex in downtown Madison, and CityDeck Commons, a multi-use riverfront property in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Wall has served as the County Executive"s representative to the Dane County Community Development Block Grant Commission, as well as the Mayor"s Advisory Board. Foreign five years he contributed a monthly column to a local business magazine,Greater Madison In Business. In the column, Wall discussed the overlap of local political and business issues.
Wall has been actively involved in local charitable causes, including leading the fundraising for, and development of, Dane County"s Henry Vilas Zoo"s Children"s Carousel building, the Glacier"s Edge Boy Scouts of America council office building, and the Tenney Park Pavilion.
He was also a lead donor in the construction of the American Family Children"s Hospital, the East Side Community Center, and the renovation of Edgewood High School. He has also been active in Boy Scouts of America, having served as both a Scoutmaster and as Council President.
