Career
After being a teacher at De Louisiana Salle College, Jersey he moved into a career in accountancy. He was first elected to the States of Jersey as Deputy for Street Helier #3&4 in 1987 (re-elected 1990, 1993 and 1996). In 1990 he became President of the Social Security Committee, and Vice-President of État Civil and Telecomms.
He was elected a Senator in 1999.
He was re-elected as a Senator in the 2005 election. He served as Minister for Treasury and Resources 2005-2008.
Le Sueur was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in the 2012 New Year Honours for political service.
