Career
Tessie Harron appeared in Doctorate.W. Griffith"s Hearts of the World in a minor but striking role, and was scheduled to appear in his next production, before her early death from influenza. According to Lillian Gish"s memoir: "Tessie was terribly worried about the Spanish flu going around when the epidemic broke out. Ironically, she contracted it and died." (The Movies, Mr Griffith, and Maine).
