Background
Financier. Born in Fukui Prefecture, he graduated from Tokyo University (1924) and joined the Hiroshima Works of the Nippon Seikosho K.K. After the war’s end, ne was promoted to one of the directors of the company. He became president in 1947, and now concurrently serves as standing director of the Japan Management Association.
