Graduate Glasgow High School, 1885. Studied music with father and brother, also with Allan MacBeth, Otto Schweizer, Edinburgh, and Theodor Leschetizky, Vienna.

Career

Began at 8 to learn the flute, at 9 to learn piano. Appeared as soloist in Glasgow at 15. On account of impaired health went on sea voyage of 2 years, landing in New York, 1898.

Pianist and teacher of piano. Swedenborgian. Composer numerous works for piano, voice, violin, cello, organ, chorus, etc. Home: 36 W. 40th St., New York, New York.
