Career
He moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1856. Fritz"s son, Oscar M. Fritz, would become Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Additionally, he was a Milwaukee alderman.
He was affiliated with the Milwaukee People"s Party.
