Served as assistant curate Saint Mark’s Church, Harper, Cape Palmas.
1896-1905, and as assistant secretary and secretary General Convention Missionary District of Liberia, 1905-1913. Consecrated suffragan bishop of Liberia, at Church of the Incarnation, New York City, June 23, 1921.
