Career

Began as assistant manager, Pantages Theater, Seattle, 1922. Manager Bruen Circuit Theaters, 1923-1926. Buyer, film booker, division manager Universal Chain Theater Subsidiary, N.W. Theatrical Enterprises, 1926-1927, general manager, 1928-1929.

Resident manager, Orpheum Vaudeville Circuit, 1929-1930. Division manager, Fox West Coast Theaters, Oregon and Washington, 1931-1932. General manager Consolidated Parker Fox West Coast United Artist Theater Circuit, Oregon and Washington, 1933-1940.

Formed own company, Gamble Theatres, 1940. Became president Gamble Enterprises, 1947. Director, Northwest Television & Broadcasting Corporation, director Western Life Insurance Company, Northwest Airlines.

Chairman board Theatre Owners America. Organizer Treasury War Bond program, Oregon, administrator, June-December 1941. Consultant to secretary of treasury, 1941-1942, assistant to secretary to supervise War Bond field orgns. throughout United States, 1942-1947.

Became national director War Finance Division.
