Thierry Daniel Henry is a French footballer who plays as a striker for New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer. Henry has received many plaudits and awards in his football career and is renowned for his playing style. Since 2006, Henri has been practicing Islam, in an interview with Al-Jazeera, he said that he adopted this religion with the guidance of his colleagues in the national team: "I began to be interested in Islam under the influence of my friends on the team — Abidal and Ribery.
