Career

In 1936 he was eliminated in the second round of the welterweight class after losing his fight to Raúl Rodríguez. He was born in Glasgow, a son of David Arbuthnott and Mary Robertson, née Bone. Married 1939 to Phyllis Reeves.

They had a daughter, Kay.
