Bachelor of Arts, State University Iowa, 1902. Student General Theological Seminary, New York City, 1903-1906.
In 1903 he entered General Theological Seminary. After he became bishop he received an honorary doctorate of sacred theology from General Seminary and an honorary doctorate of divinity from The University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee. He was ordained deacon in June 1906 and priest in February 1907.
They had six children.
Casady was consecrated bishop on October 2, 1927, at All Saints" Church, Omaha, Nebraska. When the Diocese of Oklahoma was formed in 1937, Casady became its first diocesan bishop.
