Career
He was ordained priest at Saint Joseph"s Seminary, Troy, New York, 7 June, 1873, and spent 29 years in parish work in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester. He took possession of his See on 6 March, 1904. He died from cholera and was buried on the same day at the floor of the left wing of the Cebu Cathedral right beside the tomb of Bishop Romualdo Jimeno de Ballesteros.
