He studied in Paris at the Atlier Duray.
Upon his return to the U. S. Mr. Holyoke re-entered the Gilbert office, and during the last decade of the nineteenth century was associated with Mr. Gilbert on a number of "works. In 1916 he organized the firm of Holyoke, Jemne & Davis, which following Mr. Davis’ withdrawal in 1923 became Holyoke & Jemne, and in that associa¬tion continued practice in St. Paul until the time of his death.
The best known examples of his work include: Unity Church, 1905; the Trinity Methodist, 1912; St. Paul’s Academy, 1916: the D. A. R. War Memorial in 1923, and a number of residences.
