Jervoise was the son of Sir Thomas Jervoise of Britford and Herriard, and his wife Lucy Powlet, daughter of Sir Richard Powlet of Herriard.

Career
His father had been Member of Parliament for Whitchurch. He was appointed High Sheriff of Hampshire for 1666-1667. He was re-elected Member of Parliament for Hampshire in February 1689 and held the seat until 1690.
Jervaise died at the age of 75.
