Career
Ordained as minister of East Church, Kinross, 1856. Translated to North Richmond Street Church, Edinburgh, 1873. Became Minister Emeritus, 1892.
Appointed one of the clerks of United Presbyterian Synod, 1879, and held that position till the Union with the Free Church in 1900. Moderator of the United Free Church, Scotland, 1901. Was Moderator of the United Presbyterian Synod in 1893.
