Prince, Thomas was born on May 15, 1687 in Sandwich, Massachusetts, United States. Son of Samuel and Mercy (Hinckley) Prince.

Education

Graduated from Harvard, 1709.

Career

Ordained pastor Old South Church, Boston, 1718, pastor, 1718-1758. Preached and published many funeral sermons. Bibliophile, acquired large library, most of which is now in Boston Public Library.

Author: Sermon on the Death of Cotton Mather, 1728. A Chronological History of New England in the Form of Annals, 1736. The Christian History (accounts of revivals of 1743-1744), 1744-1745.

Earthquakes of New England, 1755. The New England Psalm-book Revised and Improved, 1758.
