(This may be the most important Physics book ever written....)
This may be the most important Physics book ever written. Having a degree in Physics is necessary to understand the book. The book is brilliantly written, and gives a new, simpler, better math formulation of Relativity. I got a BS in Physics in 1966 and took a course from Richard Feynman in 1967 that included General Relativity. I've had a lot of questions about Relativity ever since, and Thomas Sills mentions them all, and then makes them all go away. Sills takes us from Einstein's non Euclidean SpaceTime to a 4 dimensional Euclidean space, replacing Einstein's time dimension with Sills' "timespace" which is measured in units of distance, and a scalar "Universal Time." This simplifies Einstein's Relativity greatly, and makes Relativity much more intuitive. All the people in Europe who thought they were measuring neutrinos going faster than light need to read this. A lot of the math in Physics will have to change because of this book. With Sills' new formulation Physics will go as far beyond Einstein as Einstein went beyond Newton. The reason new Physics will come from this is that Sills' formulation is not only simpler and more powerful than Einstein's, but also more General. New experimentally verifiable predictions are sure to come. More importantly, this changes our view of space, time, and reality once again.
