Wilson, Thomas was born on May 16, 1827 in Tyrone Company, Ireland. Son of Daniel and Fannie (Cuddy) Wilson.

Education

Came to the United States, 1838. Bachelor of Arts, Allegheny (Pennsylvania) College, 1852, A.M., 1855 (Doctor of Laws, 1901, and Macalester College, 1902).

Career

Admitted to bar, 1855. Settled at Winona, Minnesota Ty., 1855. Member Constitutional Convention, 1857.

District Judge, 1857-1864. Chief justice Supreme Court of the Minnesota, 1864-1869 (resigned). Member Minnesota House Republican, 1880, Senate, 1883-1885.

Democratic nominee for United States senator, 1885. Member 50th Congress (1887-1889), 1st Minnesota District. General counsel, C.,St.P., (1887-1889), 1st Minnesota District.
