Corboy & Demetrio was founded by nationally acclaimed personal injury trial lawyer Philip H. Corboy. The firm represents individuals and their families in personal injury and wrongful death cases arising from aviation and vehicular accidents, medical and professional negligence, product liability, premises liability and construction accidents. Since 1974, Corboy & Demetrio has attained nearly 300 verdicts and settlements of $1 million or more for its clients.
Eighteen of those were received in the first half of 1997 alone.
A $25 million settlement in a case brought on behalf of the family of a passenger killed in the 1989 crash of a United Airlines jet in Sioux City, Iowa, is the largest settlement for compensatory damages, for one person, in an aviation wrongful death action.
