Hill, Hill, Carter, Franco, Cole & Black, P.C. was founded in 1924 by Thomas B. Hill, Junior who was later joined by William Inge Hill, James Stovall, and James J. Carter to form the firm, Hill, Hill, Stovall & Carter.
The present firm of 22 Lawyers evolved from growth and diversification primarily in the fields of litigation, business, taxation and estates, and real estate. Various members have served as presidents of the Alabama State Bar Association, bar commissioners, and interim appellate and trial court judicial appointments.
