Chairman board of trustees, City Workhouse, 1874-1879. Trustee Ohio Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home.

1886-1894 (Chairman of the Board, 1890-1894). Member Ohio State Game and Fish Commission, 12 years.

Member board of trustees in charge construction new City Hall, Cincinnati, 1888-1893.

Member of commission for proposed new State Capitol Building at Columbus, Ohio Trustee Cincinnati College.
