Hartford Sunday Globe and New Haven Register, 1876-1886. Associated with Francis Atwater, F. E. Sands and Lew Allen and started Meriden Journal, 1886. Mayor of Meriden, 3 terms, 1906-1912.

Member Board Education 6 years. Director Public Library since instituted, about 1898. Member 62d Congress (1911-1913), 2d Connecticut District, and 63d Congress (1913-1915), 3d District.
