Elected State Senator Arizona, at the General election, 1924, re elected, 1926-1928, candidate for re-election, 1930. Succeeded in passing eleven bills in the interests of labor, children and Education. Father of the now famous Compensation Law of Arizona and of the Company Free Library law.
Also of the laws reorganizing the University of Arizona and the two State Teachers Colls, at Tempe and Flagstaff, Arizona, and the law organizing the State School for the Deaf and Blind, Tucson. Appointed member of a commn., to codify the laws of Arizona, 1927-1928. which is now published as the Civil Code of 1928.
